His interest varies from scientific studies such as agriculture, horticulture, natural resource management, bio-diversity to culture, primitive mythology, anthropology, shamanism, religion, philosophy etc. He has contributed a number of articles in various journals, periodicals and has 20 books in his credit.

His first book is Agriculture in the Hills of Sikkim published by Sikkim Science Society, Gangtok in 1984. Sukhim Yakthung Mundhum Saplopa, Gangtok, Sikkim, publishes most of his books.
